After running a youth theatre school for 15 years and suffering numerous last-minute studio cancellations, a decision was made to make our own!
OUR VISION
We wanted to offer somewhere that has a good quality, sizeable space, good equipment, clean, is affordable, and that could be run by people who know what’s needed from experience.
A space that can be transformed from an energetic dance studio, to a calming meditation space, and then into a meeting room at the drop of a hat!
Why choose The Space?
Run by the right people
With experience in knowing what’s wanted and what’s needed.
Attention to detail
Working with each hirer as an individual to try and make your experience as important to us, as it is to you.
Community driven
Keen to become a ‘hub’ in the community, linking in with other local small businesses to support each other.
Evolution
A passion to keep it clean, modern & up to date, and evolving with the needs of those that use it.
Who is behind the space?

Lauren Bill
Lauren is the Principal of Razzamataz Weymouth and Dorchester, where she has been inspiring young performers for over 15 years. A dancer all her life, Lauren’s true passion lies in sharing her love of dance and performance with the next generation.
Growing up in Weymouth, Lauren began her training locally before studying dance at university and completing a PGCE at Chelsea School in Brighton as a dance specialist. She went on to lecture in Performing Arts at Weymouth College for five years before taking the leap to run Razzamataz Weymouth full-time in 2015.
Today, both schools are multi award-winning and support over 500 students each week. Lauren is deeply passionate about nurturing confidence, creativity, and community through the arts and is proud to launch The Space, a brand-new studio and multi-purpose venue designed to bring people together and support creativity for all.

Kieren bill
Kieren has a long-standing background in managing people, instruction and practical delivery across a range of professional and creative settings.
His experience includes teaching and assessment roles, as well as specialist work in theatre set and scenery construction, giving him a strong focus on safety, organisation and adaptability.
Married to Lauren, he has also been closely involved in the operation and development of Razzamataz Weymouth & Dorchester, supporting its growth, events and day-to-day delivery.
This combined experience underpins his commitment to providing a well-managed, versatile space suitable for dance, events and community use.

We've made a space to connect, to share, and to create.
